Wir freuen uns, dass unsere zwei KollegInnen aus Brasilien, Soraya Jorge und Guto Macedo, diesen Sommer wieder nach Wien kommen und wieder eine Fortbildung in der von Ihnen entwickelten Methode „AUTHENTIC CONTACT“ anbieten – eine Arbeit die aus der Methode Authentic Movement und der Contact Improvisation entwickelt wurde.

Wir laden Euch ein, diese einmalige Gelegenheit zu nutzen, um ihre schöne Arbeit kennenzulernen oder zu vertiefen!

Authentic Contact is an investigation based on the encounter of Authentic Movement and Contact Improvisation that SoGu (Soraya Jorge and Guto Macedo) have been doing since 2003.

What is to be witness? How does the witness influence to establish a group mind, a share energy? Can we move and be a witness at once? How can we share the witnessing through the movement? How the re-cognition of the personal physical limits can be a focus of amplitude of space and movement (intern and extern)? How we keep researching intensities widely touched by emotions, sensations, feelings, thoughts,…?
The alchemy of our affections goes across borders, perspire, in the blank of our meetings, the continuous change of skin, the deepness of ours folds.
We are going to explore many possibilities to be alive with these questions in the movements: to be and at the same time share the experience, to see and to be seen, to touch and be touched, to invite and to be invited, etc.,… not in an absolute sense, but as the emergence of a moment that is always in process. This embodied experience in the tactile space of the dance will offer us the potential to act on new levels of physical play and also on new levels of embodied involvement.
From the Authentic Movement, we bring the concept of witness and the appropriation of the judgment as part of the work in Movement Conscience. From Contact Improvisation, we bring the exploration of biomechanical possibilities of the improvisers (touchers), the process of combining its masses and weights as part of the way to improve the perception in the dance: new dovetails, flights, rolls and falls are not compulsory; they are only possibilities.

SORAYA JORGE is a journalist, dancer, corporeal therapist, teacher and movement researcher.

Specialist in Authentic Movement by the Authentic Movement Institute (EUA/1998) and studies with Janet Adler (creator of the Authentic Movement – 1994-2000). Degree in Contemporary Dance by the Angel Vianna School (Rio de Janeiro/1987) where she teaches in the technical course and in the university. Degree in Social Communication/Journalism by the Helio Alonso Faculty – Rio de Janeiro. Also a teacher at the Estácio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro.
Post-graduation in “Advanced Studies in Contemporary Dance” and “Therapy Throughout Movement, Body and Subjectivation” where she also teaches “ Improvisation and Authentic Movement”.
She works with Body Expression and Movement Awareness, Primitive Dance, Improvisation, Authentic Movement and many massage techniques.
She has been developing with Guto Macedo a research for the integration of Contact Improvisation and Authentic Movement – Authentic Contact and combining this research with Ballroom Dance ( samba, salsa, tango).
One of the creators of International Peer Gathering of Authentic Movement Practitioners (Wien/2008/2009/2010 and Montenegro/2011).Creator in partnership with Clarissa Costa, Isaías Costa and Soraya Jorge the Authentic Movement Apprenticeship Program – Brazil/Austria Collaboration.
This research had been presented, by the invitation of the organizers, at the Contact Improvisation Festival of Freiburg, Germany, on the International Encounter of Authentic Movement in Vienna, Austria, in August 2008/09/10 and in the Contact Improvisation International Festival Contact in Rio in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

GUTO MACEDO is a theater director, choreographer, actor-dancer, corporeal therapist, teacher and movement researcher.

Creator in partnership with Clarissa Costa, Isaías Costa and Soraya Jorge the Authentic Movement Apprenticeship Program – Brazil/Austria Collaboration.
Degree in Scenic Arts-Theatrical Direction by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (RJ-BR/2006). He had a scholarship from the Jeniffer Muller & The Works Foundation (NYC-EUA/1985 to 1987). He had been initiated in Contact Improvisation by Nina Martin (NYC-EUA/1986) and also studied Contact Improvisation with Lisa Nelson, Nancy Stark Smith, Daniel Lepkof, K.J. Holmes, Keith Hennessy, Nita Little, Martin Keogh and Ray Chung.
He was a dancer on the Coringa Grupo de Dança (RJ-BR/ from 1980 to 1984), on the Cia. de Dança Débora Colker (RJ/BR/1996), on the Circus-theatrical Group Intrépida Trupe where he also worked as a choreographer (RJ-BR/ from 1999 to 2001) and on the Professional Research Group (RJ-BR/ from 2003 to 2004), among others. He works teaching classes and workshops of Authentic Contact, Body Expression, Contact Improvisation, Contemporary and Modern Dance, in festivals, groups, dance companies, dance schools, private classes in Brazil and abroad. He is developing with Soraya Jorge a research integrating Contact Improvisation and Authentic Movement – Authentic Contact. This research had been presented at the International Contact Improvisation Festivals in: Freiburg/Germany/2008, Rio/Brazil/2008/09/10/11, Buenos Aires/Argentina/2010, Montevidéu/Uruguai /2010, São Paulo/Brazil/2011; and at the International Peer Gathering of Authentic Movement Practitioners in Vienna/Austria/2008/09 and10.
